These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SermonClips.tech (the "Service"), operated by SermonClips Limited Liability Company ("SermonClips," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
By accessing or using SermonClips.tech, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 19 below.
SermonClips.tech is a tool that helps churches and pastors turn full-length sermon recordings into shorter, caption-ready video clips intended for sharing on social media. You submit a sermon by pasting a YouTube link or uploading a video file. The Service processes your sermon — including automated transcription, identification of notable moments, clip generation, speaker-focused reframing, and caption generation — and returns a set of clips for your review, editing, and export.
The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a Free plan and paid plans (Starter, Growth, and Pro), each with different monthly sermon allowances, clip counts, storage windows, and support levels, as described on our Pricing page.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. You must provide a valid email address and a password to register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@sermonclips.tech if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
"User Content" means the sermon audio/video, and any related text or files, that you upload or submit to the Service, as well as the clips, captions, and other outputs generated from it.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. By uploading or submitting content to SermonClips.tech, you represent and warrant that:
SermonClips.tech does not review sermon content for rights or licensing issues before processing it. You, not SermonClips, are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any music, guest speakers, copyrighted material, or other third-party content that may appear in your sermon recording.
As between you and SermonClips, you own your User Content — including the original sermon you upload and the clips generated from it. SermonClips.tech does not claim ownership of your sermons or any content you submit.
To operate the Service, you grant SermonClips a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transcribe, analyze, and transform your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you (for example, generating clips, captions, and reframed video). This license exists only to let us provide the Service to you — it does not give SermonClips any right to use your sermons for its own marketing, to sell or license them to third parties, or to publish them anywhere on your behalf. This license ends when the underlying content is deleted from our systems, except to the limited extent needed to comply with law or resolve disputes.
The Service itself — including the SermonClips.tech website, software, branding, design, and underlying technology — is owned by SermonClips and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use SermonClips trademarks, branding, or platform source code outside of your normal use of the Service as a customer.
SermonClips.tech uses automated and AI-assisted processes — including third-party speech-to-text transcription and language-model-based analysis — to identify notable moments in your sermon, generate clip suggestions, and produce captions. These outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies (for example, in transcription or captioning). You are responsible for reviewing clips and captions before publishing them. SermonClips does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any automatically generated content.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, as described in Section 17 (Termination).
The Free plan allows a limited number of sermons over the lifetime of your account, with a reduced number of clips per sermon, as described on our Pricing page. We may change Free plan limits at any time.
Paid plans (Starter, Growth, and Pro) are billed monthly in advance through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. Plan limits (sermons per month, clips per sermon, storage duration, and support level) are as described on our Pricing page at the time of purchase and may change with notice for future billing periods.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan and Free plan limits apply. You can cancel from your Account page through Stripe's billing portal, or by emailing support@sermonclips.tech.
Subscription payments are generally refundable if requested within 7 days of the charge and the account has not used the included sermon-processing allowance during that billing period. If you experience a technical problem that prevents SermonClips from delivering the service, please contact support and we will review the issue and, where appropriate, provide a refund or credit. Canceling your subscription prevents future charges but does not automatically qualify you for a refund of the current billing period.
If a payment fails, we may retry the charge or notify you to update your payment method. We reserve the right to suspend or downgrade access to paid features if payment is not successfully completed.
We aim to keep the Service available and performing well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be unavailable at times due to maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control, including outages of third-party providers we rely on.
We may add, change, or remove features of the Service, including plan limits and pricing, at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes that affect your paid subscription.
Except for your User Content (Section 5), all rights, title, and interest in the Service — including software, text, graphics, logos, and the SermonClips name and branding — belong to SermonClips or its licensors.
The Service relies on third-party providers to operate, including payment processing, cloud infrastructure, file storage, transcription and AI processing, and email delivery. Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms of those providers where relevant. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AUTOMATICALLY GENERATED CLIPS OR CAPTIONS WILL BE ACCURATE. SERMONCLIPS DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY PARTICULAR MINISTRY, AUDIENCE, ENGAGEMENT, OR FINANCIAL OUTCOME FROM USING THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SERMONCLIPS AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold SermonClips harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right, including rights related to content you upload.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting support@sermonclips.tech. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, including the Acceptable Use provisions in Section 8.
These Terms will be governed by the laws of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@sermonclips.tech.
